This class reviews the fundamentals of defensive shooting. While it is NOT an advanced tactical course, participants must have basic pistol skills and be able to shoot independently and follow range commands. Topics in this class include defensive shooting verses marksmanship. How muscle memory works in your favor or against you. The proper grip and natural shooting platform. Aligning the muzzle to the target and point/instinctive shooting. The difference between flash sight picture and precise sight alignment.
SINCE THIS IS A SHOOTING CLASS THE THUNDER LAKES RANGE SAFETY WAIVER IS REQUIRED. HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION IS REQUIRED. YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN FIREARM AND 100 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION.
