For Beginners. Ages 8-12 years old must be accompanied by an Adult
This class is designed to introduce firearms to children ages 8-12 years old. This course utilizes materials from the National Shooting Sports Foundation to introduce children to the shooting sports and how to properly use and store firearms while also going over in-depth safety procedures while handling firearms.
Parent participation is required. Each child’s parent will be required to sit through the class and range time in order to learn with their child and to foster a relationship of respect and trust between the child, the parent and the use and storage of firearms.
This course will provide students with a Keystone Crickett .22LR and all materials needed for the classroom and the range portion of the class including ammo. Each student will receive the Keystone Crickett Rifle they learn with as a gift to take with them.
At completion of the course, students will receive a Thunder Lakes Cricket Club Card which authorizes them to use the Thunder Lakes Range with a parent or guardian.
*Normally children must be 13 or older to use the range with a parent or guardian*
Participants must be registered for the class 5 days prior to the class being held and parents must past a background check.
